Raising Awareness & Helpful Links For Parents

Have your Child Tested For a Learning Disability if you feel your child is not doing as well at school as she/he should be.

Many parents do not know that their child even has a learning disability.  They might think that their child is just not participating enough, not listening or keeping up with the other children in their class.  However, many children go untested for a learning disability and struggle for years into adulthood.  Have your family doctor refer your child to a specialist or community centre to have your child tested as soon as possible.
There should be signs of a child struggling in school as early as Pre-kindergarden.
